House 10 by 15 - projects of modern houses and cottages. Review of the best solutions of modern designers

The process of building a house requires certain knowledge, effort, patience and significant financial investments. Before you start work, you need to draw up a construction plan and make some changes to the work, taking into account the climatic features of the area of your future home.

Following all these tips will help you build a wonderful home for you and your family. Today we want to introduce you in detail to the project of a 10 by 15 house.

Advantages and disadvantages

Often, building a house puts us in a difficult situation. The reason for this is:

  • Small area of land for construction
  • Adverse climatic conditions
  • Relief features

In such cases, designers begin to select the most suitable option for the client. This option is a one-story house 10 by 15. Its construction has many advantages.

It is much easier, faster to build such a house and it will require significantly less financial investment.

If you are the owner of a small plot of land, where you already have a garage or a garden with a vegetable garden, then a one-story house will be the best solution for you.

Design of houses 10x15

For an elongated plot, common in dense buildings, 10x15 projects are suitable. Such houses have a rectangular base where various types of premises can be placed in any combination. 10x15 houses can be one-story or two-story, both have their own advantages and disadvantages.

  • Single-story - provide convenient access to all rooms; there is no need to install stairs and install interfloor beams. However, the roof area is much larger and its installation will be more expensive.
  • Two-story - allow you to place more rooms in the same area, but require the construction of a second floor. This requires additional effort and building materials, but building a two-story house ends up being cheaper. The roof has a smaller area, allowing you to save on its installation.

The premises located inside have different purposes. Popular projects include a garage under the roof of the first floor, an attic, several bedrooms, and attached utility rooms - storage rooms, workshops, baths.

Current solutions

Relatively recently, in European countries it has become popular to build small one-story houses with environmentally friendly materials. This is due to climate change and global warming.

For example, in Ireland, builders prefer to build houses measuring 7 by 7. This is very beneficial from a financial point of view, as well as aesthetic appearance and practicality. Houses 10 by 15 are popular in Croatia.

Project development

In order to create the most comfortable living conditions, you need to follow many factors.

The most important of them is the correct arrangement of rooms in the layout of a 10 by 15 house.

The most correct distribution of the house is determined by:

  • Features of their placement
  • Size
  • Their correct purpose
  • Connecting corridors between rooms

The foundation also plays a big role, because it is the basis of a reliable home.

In this case, we recommend that you make a deep foundation and strengthen it, in addition to concrete, with iron supports. This is necessary so that the house does not sag over time.

Another useful tip is to use preliminary drawings. This will allow you to take into account all the nuances during construction and protect you from unplanned financial expenses.

The 15×4 science popularization project holds open lectures and is expanding to new cities

Last summer, when the 15x4 movement appeared, hardly anyone would have thought that the project would grow so much so quickly. It all started with a few people who were crazy about science and liked to talk Wikipedia to each other. And then the first lecture hall opened in Kharkov. A little later - the second, in Kyiv. Over time, more and more events were held in different cities, and more and more recordings of lectures appeared on the 15x4 YouTube channel.

Now 15x4 is a community of science popularizers whose members want people to speak up and share knowledge. Events are already being held in Moscow, Kyiv, Kharkov, Lviv, Chisinau and Chernivtsi.

15×4 is a categorically non-commercial association of scientists and science fans. The project’s activities are not monetized in any way, and admission to all events in all cities was and remains free.

To date, about 150 lectures have been given and about 50 events have been held. The topics of the lectures are very diverse. Lecturers often read about physics and biology, and there were also lectures about technology, medicine, psychology, linguistics and, of course, space. Among other things, on the site you will now find lectures about the Large Hadron Collider, gluten, vaccination, homeopathy, CRISPR, 3D printing, quantum computers and text editing. The standard duration of one lecture is 15 minutes, and a typical event has 4 lectures.

Below are some fairly popular lectures.

On social networks you can subscribe to information about 15x4 events in your city.

  • Moscow - ,
  • Kyiv - ,
  • Kharkiv - ,
  • Odessa - ,
  • Lviv - ,
  • Chisinau - ,
  • Chernivtsi - ,

Information about 15x4 can also be found on Facebook and .
If you can help open a 15x4 brunch somewhere else, members of the community would be happy to help. In any big city there are soon many volunteers who want to prove themselves in organizing events.

The goal of 15×4 is to popularize science and even to popularize the very idea of popularizing science. All lectures are opened by volunteers, and anyone can join. Communication and work organization take place in Slack and Trello. You can join the project and be part of one or more teams. For example, you may be interested in working on a website, organizing events, writing and editing subtitles, translating, or supervising 15×4’s participation at the Publishers Forum in Lviv. Or maybe you would just like to give a lecture. In all these cases, or if you want to do anything else for the project, you just need to contact the organizers.

The range of areas of knowledge that interest visitors is very wide, so lecturers themselves choose what they would be interested in talking about. The lecturer can be of any age, and have any education or none at all: it is only important to have a good understanding of the specifics of the subject, and, according to the general rules, to come to the rehearsal several times. During rehearsals, other community members help improve the presentation and text, advise on how to prepare for listener questions, and make sure that the lecture turns out to be high-quality and interesting, and its recording is pleasant to watch later.

There is a demand for science, and it is much greater than one might imagine. Hundreds of people already come to events in Kharkov, mostly learning about them from social networks. And even in small towns, announced events attract many interested listeners.

All of us who do 15x4 believe that the world will be a better place if we tell others what we know. If a person shares knowledge, he will not have less of it, but others will have more opportunities for self-realization and, perhaps, they will do something good and useful. Besides, being smarter than others is very nice.
