I’ve been using the iPhone 12 for 4 months now. During this time, I’ve made several obvious and not so obvious conclusions that I would like to share with you.
I started using it from the first day of release, so some kind of picture was formed in my head. Not without its downsides.
And if more and more negativity came out with the iPhone 11 every day, now the situation is not so critical. Yes, there are some shortcomings, but they do not affect the overall impression of the device.
First things first.
It scratches ungodly, but how durable it is!
On the first day, I got a small scratch on my iPhone. This is probably already standard practice for any owner. The smartphone collects scratches even with the most careful use.
Even Nikita noted in his article that he cared for and cherished his iPhone 12 Pro Max, but it still developed a small scratch.
My situation is a little worse. In normal use, nothing is visible, but as soon as you look at the display from a certain angle, you immediately begin to pay attention to it. There are many, many small abrasions on the screen that are noticeable.
Particularly disconcerting are a couple of deep scratches that can easily be caught with a fingernail.
Out of curiosity, I tried the advice of using toothpaste, and it hid minor scratches by simply filling in the recesses. Unfortunately, this won’t work with the deep ones. At the same time, I tested the myth in action.
Important : It is not recommended to repeat the steps below. This is a “handicraft” method.
Essence:
1. Take regular toothpaste. It contains abrasives - solid microparticles, such as silicon and titanium compounds, aluminum oxide, coal, soda.
2. Apply a thin layer to the iPhone screen in a circular motion and wait for it to dry.
3. Then lightly wet a microfiber or cotton pad and wipe away any traces of paste in a circular motion.
Bottom line : light scratches will disappear. However, if you still have an oleophobic layer, then the paste will also erase it. Check only on an iPhone that is at least 3-4 months old if you don’t want to lose coverage ahead of time.
Okay, we've sorted out the scratches. But what really surprised me was the excellent durability of the screen itself.
I dropped it about 3 times, nothing changed either in the operation of the iPhone or in its appearance. Just yesterday there was the last drop. We accidentally touched a wire, the iPhone suddenly flew down and fell flat with its display on the tile.
And in the end, only a small scratch was formed. True, I’m not sure that it wasn’t in that place before. The device itself remained unshaken. Not a single chip or crack was found.

Frames peel off over time
It seems the iPhone 5 problem is indeed returning. Although not to such a terrible extent as it was back in 2012.
Forget what I wrote above about falling. They are completely unrelated to the fact that my iPhone 12’s frames have started to crumble. on them , the paint peels off on its own . I noticed this even after I carried the iPhone in the case and never dropped it.
Over time, the problem only gets worse, more and more spots appear. And if you carry a gadget in a case, then you can safely turn a blind eye to it; you still won’t see the difference.
But now I have neither a case nor a protective glass. I’m not particularly a fan of this; I believe that the best experience with an iPhone occurs only when it is in its “virgin” form. The rest only spoils the experience.
I felt this especially well with the iPhone 12. If the rounded edges of the iPhone 11 were hidden by the case, it lay almost the same in the hand. But with the “two-piece” the difference is noticeable, and very strong. It begins to slip in the hand and generally lies in it differently. Once you take it off once, you don’t want to return to this practice again.
But this is rather a purely personal opinion. Everyone has their own perception of such accessories.
Walls
An individual house allows you to provide a comfortable room height, ensuring good air exchange at the level of human height. This parameter included in the project will determine the height of the walls of your house.
The outer wall is 11 or 12 meters long, allowing the use of various materials. A wall in the form of a frame or made of artificial stone, such as brick or wall blocks, will fit well into the dimensions of the building.
Ready-made project of a brick cottage 11x12 with a complex mansard roof
You can use logs, profiled, laminated timber or build a brick house.
The common length of products made from these materials is a multiple of the dimensions of the building. Joining just two elements will allow you to close a distance of 12 meters without resorting to searching for non-standard lengths of timber or logs. An 11 meter long wall is made in the same way with little loss of excess material.
Works for a long time, even enough for me
Year after year I complained about the battery life of the iPhone. I was especially upset by the iPhone 11, which seems to have a powerful battery, but “eats” the smartphone very quickly in my mode of use.
Just last year I complained about the rapid consumption of capacity. In six months, twice (because there were two iPhone 11s) the battery went out about 10%, this is not very normal.
But now I’m simply delighted with the autonomy of the new product . For 4 months now I have been constantly loading my device, and I still have 100% capacity. I don’t know if it’s iOS 14 or just the A14 Bionic, but my iPhone lasts a really long time.
Look, my standard day happens through a smartphone. I work from it, and accordingly, I perform almost all tasks. Throughout the day I use:
▪️ Safari: 80% of the time (surfing, writing news) ▪️ Telegram, VKontakte: 80% of the time (communicating with friends and colleagues, discussing work issues) ▪️ Pixelmator: 40% of the time (processing photos and images for news and articles) ▪️ YouTube: 20% of the time (I watch various studies or just interesting videos in my free time) ▪️ Music: 50% of the time (it makes working much more pleasant, and also helps pass the time on the road) ▪️ Games: 5% of the time
Here it is clearly:
As a result, by the end of the day, my iPhone 12 usually has about 20-30% charge left. The old iPhone 11 could only envy such an old one. It was discharged to 10% already at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
In general, I am completely satisfied with the autonomy. And if such a battery is enough for me, then for ordinary users it should be enough for 1.5-2 days.

Performance is super, BUT
I like everything about the speed of work. Apple, as always, makes processors with many years of performance to spare.
All applications open instantly, even heavy VK, processing photos and small videos also takes a matter of seconds. It's amazing.
However, there is one “BUT” that continues to irritate to this day. What they got rid of in the “proshki”.
Due to the fact that the iPhone 12 has 4 GB of RAM left, applications may not last long in it . Especially in the case when about 4-5 GB remain on the drive. From time to time it happens that the same Safari reboots after 30 seconds in Telegram.
And I’m already silent about the Camera. As soon as you open it, all the RAM goes into it, and many inactive programs simply quit. Especially heavy ones. It also happened a couple of times that Music was closed, although it was actively working.
A little about the layout
An individual estate differs in its layout from a city apartment. It includes volumes that the city dweller does not take into account, but it is impossible to do without them. The project of an individual house with a plan size of 11 by 12 meters will accommodate all the necessary residential and office premises.
However, finding a balance between maximum space and the strict need to allocate space for premises performing auxiliary and service functions depends solely on the customer himself.
An architect or designer who develops the interior layout of a house can give professional advice and recommendations to the owner. Decision-making will still remain with him.
Detailed layout of a one-story house 11 by 12
The developer must approach his task as responsibly and thoughtfully as possible. The layout of the house will determine the level of pleasure and convenience from further living in it.
And yet LCD is no longer needed in 2021. Thanks for the OLED
I didn't complain about the iPhone 11's LCD display last year, and I won't this year. It is perfectly implemented in iPhones.
But... still, the OLED screen conveys the picture more vividly , I don’t see any flickering, there are no pixels, everything is just wonderful. I’m glad that Apple abandoned the morally and technically outdated technology in iPhones; it no longer has a place here. It's time to say goodbye to her.
For 4 months there were no burnouts, everything works like clockwork. A rich, rich image pleases the eye every day. Especially when watching HDR content on YouTube or Apple TV+. Yes, I am from the caste of people who comfortably watch movies and TV series from a smartphone and do not experience any problems with it.
Attic
Arrangement of a finished attic for temporary or permanent residence is somewhat more rational, although less attractive. You still have to do the staircase assembly. The attic allows you to significantly reduce its area due to deterioration in quality. You can make a larger angle of inclination and reduce the width and length of stair steps to a minimum.
In a building with dimensions of 11 by 12 meters, such a block will save the area of the first floor with virtually no deterioration in the layout. Using steep and narrow stairs is not comfortable and is even contraindicated for people with health problems. Therefore, it is better to adapt the attic plan for summer, guest or children's living.
