Exterior decoration and design features of the series
The pile type of foundation for houses of modification 1605/12 simplified the implementation of “zero cycle” work, and the method of embedding joints between hinged external panels began to be used in the building design. This project provides for an improved ventilated roof, insulated over the entire surface with lightweight concrete. Roofing panels were already covered at the factory with a layer of roofing material for improved protection from precipitation. The plumbing cabins were entirely manufactured at the factory from moisture-resistant gypsum cement, and the plumbing risers were located outside the cabins. Prefabricated floor panels were also made from gypsum cement - they were made immediately in accordance with the size of the rooms on rolling machines designed for the production of interior partitions.
Some houses of this design were equipped with an experimental heating system - heating elements were placed inside the outer walls. However, such know-how in the future made it very difficult to maintain and repair communications, so later, in the process of renovating buildings, they were already installed according to a standard scheme.
Six design projects for apartments in a panel house of series 1605/12
Strengths of the project:
| Weaknesses of the project:
|
The proposed three-room apartment is designed for three people - parents 27-30 years old and a child 5-7 years old. This young family is open to everything new and unusual. They travel a lot and are ready to bring the atmosphere of their favorite places into their home.
The authors of the project chose an eclectic style for a typical apartment. The interior is like a patchwork quilt; it consists of different fragments: somewhere bold color combinations, and somewhere standard solutions. For example, a refrigerator appears in the kitchen with an English flag painted on the door; in the bedroom there is a denim bedspread and pillows with multi-colored inserts: black and green patterns and yellow and red stripes, also reminiscent of flags. In the living room and children's room there are familiar, ordinary things (Persian carpet on the floor and IKEA furniture); The goal here is not to create an original design. These are rooms “for every day”, conducive to usual activities and relaxation.
The emphasis is placed taking into account the ergonomics of a small apartment space and the possibilities of using modern technologies. So, instead of a traditional dining table in the kitchen, they use a countertop that is combined with a window sill. Cabinet doors are replaced with curtains. In the bedroom, the bed is raised onto a podium, and shelves with books and magazines are placed around it - you can smoothly transition from reading to sleep without getting up. A vertical tubular steel radiator design is mounted in the wall next to the window as an element of pop art, from which it is also very convenient to remove dust during everyday cleaning.
Redevelopment affects load-bearing structures and requires the relocation of a number of communications. Firstly, the entrance to the kitchen is organized from the living room, for which an open opening 80 cm wide and 210 cm high is made in the main wall. Secondly, due to the design of the podium, the radiator is moved in the bedroom. And thirdly, the bathroom and toilet are combined and expanded at the expense of the corridor (the previous entrance to the kitchen is blocked), which requires waterproofing the increased area of the “wet” zone.
Lowering the ceiling level is abandoned in order to maintain the height of the premises. Only in the kitchen, above the countertop, is it made hemmed and lowered by 12 cm to integrate halogen sources. So ceiling lighting is devoid of decorative flourishes and complex designs. In the children's and parents' bedrooms there will be chandeliers in the shape of sails (in the bedroom an elegant adjustable Flos lamp on a pantograph also serves as an additional light source), in the living room there will be several cardan lamps, and in the kitchen there will be an aluminum lamp in a techno style. The exception is the entrance hall and corridor with long hangings, echoing the elongated space of these rooms.
Wallpaper is used to decorate the walls in the living room and children's room, water-based paint is used in the bedroom and hallway, and a combination of the same paint and a mosaic “apron” is used in the kitchen. The walls in the bathroom are tiled with white background tiles.
All rooms become isolated. You can enter them from a wide (1.9 m) corridor,
at the end of which
a dressing room is arranged.
A sliding door leads outside from the parents' bedroom.
A wardrobe with hinged fronts for outerwear in the hallway
is made to order. It very successfully plays up the protruding corner of the living room and softens it. Here the boundaries of the hallway end and the corridor begins. This division is achieved thanks to a U-shaped opening made of tongue-and-groove blocks. Now any person entering the apartment will not have the feeling of the excessive length of this room.
Toilet and bathroom
combined and expanded due to the corridor leading to the kitchen. Here, an additional shower room is installed and a corner for the washing machine and storage system is fenced off. The shower is an acrylic semicircular tray with a fabric curtain on a metal rod. There is still a little space under the sink countertop to place a laundry basket.
Windows in the living room
organize a work corner. The wall on both sides of the window is covered with shelves for storing useful literature. In addition to the desk, you can use a wide window sill for work - part of the shelving. In the relaxation area there is a leather sofa opposite the TV on a swivel bar. A solid dark oak board is laid in the living room, and a bleached oak parquet board with a pronounced wood texture is laid in the bedroom.
Parents' bedroom
they build a high podium the entire width of the room with a recess for the mattress (dimensions 220.2 m). Thus, the mattress is framed by a U-shaped wooden ledge. Wooden structures are installed on it on both sides at the same level as the window sill, which replace bedside tables. For structural strength, the podium frame is made of solid wood, and then lined with MDF covered with beech veneer.
The author of the project suggests making covers for the mattress and pillows from denim. It is suitable for both “winter” and “summer” interiors.
Instead of an ordinary dressing table with a dressing table to the left of the entrance, they “assemble” an entire mirror wall from floor to ceiling, equipped with a shelf of mirror modules measuring 3030 cm.
Children's furnishings
designed for possible changes in family composition in the future (the appearance of a second child). It’s easy to make another sleeping place under the loft bed, but in the meantime you can store things here. The design uses a win-win combination of blue and yellow colors.
Kitchen
reminiscent of a small family cafe, where old acquaintances meet “in close quarters and without any offense.” The height of the modified window sill allows you to install a dining tabletop here. It was decided to abandon traditional furniture facades (after all, there are not many dishes), replacing them with draperies. The kitchen has a minimal set of furniture, but there are enough household appliances (there is even a CD player and a dishwasher), when choosing which, their aesthetic side - design - is put in first place. Instead of a floor-standing oven, preference is given to an ergonomic wall-hung model with a lift (Siemens), which is placed on the wall. This makes cooking easier - you don’t need to bend over and the food being prepared is always before your eyes. A techno-style lamp is the finishing touch to a “club” kitchen. The seamless floor covering is made of large (12060cm) light beige porcelain stoneware tiles.
The dining tabletop-window sill and the kitchen worktop are made of non-porous composite material Montelli (DuPont). Its characteristics meet modern requirements: it is hard, durable and strong, and has a wide range of colors. In this case, the color chosen is dark gray to make water droplets less noticeable. the material is used in the kitchen, as it is resistant to various stains and bacteria.
The design of this room (curtains spotted like animal skins, a mosaic “apron” laid in a checkerboard pattern, and a shocking flag refrigerator) uses pop art techniques. A set of spectacular multi-style elements and a kind of kitsch create the atmosphere of a club or pub.

On such a bed, like in a chill-out, you can sleep comfortably and receive guests, sitting cross-legged, as if in a teahouse. Due to the design of the podium, the radiator is moved, but the interior only benefits from this
It is not at all necessary to buy a bright yellow radiator (to match the decor of the room) - just find a tubular one on the construction market and paint it with oil paint. The table for the future schoolchild is not located very well - as a result, the child sits with his back to the light
The Flos mobile lamp on a rotating arm can create different lighting scenarios, playing the role of a chandelier, floor lamp or table lamp. The noble gray color of the decorative covering of two walls and the parquet board serves as a neutral background for the paintings and the bright blue bedspread
The entire interior and color scheme of the walls of the living room, as well as the hallway and corridor will appeal to lovers of twilight, soft and dim light. Dark walls, unusual for small rooms, nevertheless give the space intimacy and special comfort. Applying a decorative coating of rich red color (with a velvety effect) to the upper part of the wall above the “apron” brings contrast to the black and white palette. The dining table top, which is combined with a window sill, illuminated by spotlight lamps on rotating rods located on the slopes of the walls on both sides of the window. Therefore, the author of the project decided to abandon even the Roman blind

Squaring a circle
Strengths of the project:
| Weaknesses of the project:

The project is intended for a large family. To isolate both bedrooms, a partition made of gypsum concrete blocks and gypsum boards is installed perpendicular to the corridor wall. Its end from the living room side is rounded. The resulting niche, 650mm deep, is equipped with a wardrobe. The structure is located clearly along the axis of the living room, with two passages appearing to the right and left of it. The advantages of this solution are insulation of bedrooms, division of the apartment into zones and arrangement of a closet in the hallway. There are also disadvantages: reducing the living room area and turning it into a walk-through room; the distance from the bedrooms to the bathroom increases by 3 m, and you will have to walk along a complex trajectory. The interior composition is dominated by a rectangle and a circle. They are present in the designs of suspended ceilings, the joint lines of floor coverings, and the outlines of furniture. The color scheme is based on a combination of warm colors. In the living room it is yellow with terracotta (wallpaper for painting) and pear (furniture), burgundy (curtain) and brown (floor). The cuisine is almost the same range. The bedroom features brown (cabinet furniture), yellow and pistachio (walls, textiles). The children's room has a different tone: its rich palette includes yellow, orange, light green and blue. In the hall
the floors are covered with porcelain stoneware.
Below in front of the bathroom is a two-door Side-by-Side refrigerator. Bathroom
and toilet are combined.
A sink is installed opposite the door, and a bathtub next to it; On the left, near the wall adjacent to the kitchen, there is a toilet. When decorating the walls, tiles the color of baked milk are used, and the floor is covered with coffee porcelain tiles. In the living room,
a corner sofa is placed opposite the furniture composition against the wall.
In the kitchen,
a sofa is installed on one side of the table, and chairs with high backs on the other.
bedroom
walls are covered with non-woven wallpaper for painting, and parquet boards are laid on the floor.
In the children's room,
a tabletop for two workstations is located along the wall with a window.

Ceiling lamps of the string system and decorative panels with backlighting in frames are mounted by surprise on metal tension strings
The role of the partition as the compositional center of the interior is emphasized by the design of the ceiling element in the shape of a circle. The border line of porcelain stoneware and parquet boards looks like an arc, which requires jewelry processing of materials and an ideal joint between them
The symmetrical layout of the hallway is continued by the corridor: lamps are built into the lowered ceiling and floor, evenly illuminating the entrance area. In the kitchen, this symmetry is broken by the combination of suspended and suspended ceilings

Following the sun
Strengths of the project:
| Weaknesses of the project:
|
The designer intends this interior, permeated and warmed by the sun's rays, for a married couple with a high school daughter. Minor redevelopment is aimed at creating comfort and improving the geometry of the premises. So, part of a long corridor is included in the living room space and “dissolved” in it, and at the end a spacious storage room is arranged. The corners of walls and rooms are rounded and, where possible (in the hallway, next to the pantry), semicircular niches with shelves and lighting are made.
The design of all rooms combines motifs of Moroccan, colonial styles and pop art (rough plastered surfaces in the spirit of African primitivism and natural wood - ethnic elements). Fancy ornaments, panels and trunk-shaped columns in the living room make you smile. The colors used in the design are terracotta, grass, ripe wheat and sand. Perhaps for some, exclusively warm tones are too much. Therefore, we recommend painting or covering the wall surfaces in the living room and children’s rooms with “cool” blue or green wallpaper.
Small hallway
does not seem cramped, as it flows smoothly into the living room. A floor mirror in a wooden frame to the left of the entrance visually expands the space; It is not rigidly attached to the wall; it can be moved if desired. A wardrobe for outerwear is located in the corridor in front of the bathroom. A wall is built for it, which, together with the ventilation duct, forms a niche 63 cm deep. The cabinet doors are painted to match the walls, so they are invisible to the eye.
bathroom,
combined with the toilet, tiled with white glossy tiles.
Bright accents (tiles with a floral pattern of irises) decorate the technical box. they are echoed by borders around the perimeter of the room. A wall-hung toilet with a built-in installation system is deployed and moved closer to the entrance. A play on contrasts determines the choice of plumbing fixtures - along with the usual white bathtub and toilet, a round sink made of bright orange tempered glass is installed. Floor tiles are a darker shade of the same color. The water heated towel rail is hung at the level of the curb, which at first glance is unusual, but very convenient - the towel on it is always warm. Due to the small kitchen
, we had to abandon the dining table. Instead, in the center near the window there is a tabletop in the shape of the letter P, which turns into a work surface on the left and right. It combines kitchen furniture. To the left of the entrance there is a refrigerator, washing machine, microwave oven. On the right is a stove and a sink, and above them a symmetrical composition of massive wooden shelves is suspended on thin metal cables. The false ceiling above the set is covered with decorative plaster to match the “apron”. After a couple of years, its uneven texture will still look new.
Rectangular living room
softened due to the arrangement of furniture along the arc line. This zone is formed by columns that “support” a curved gypsum board ceiling. In the corridor behind them they install a shelving unit for the library. The living room is combined with a dining room; there is a large folding dining table by the window. Around him are placed chairs of different shapes and materials: modern ones with fabric seats and backs and rough wooden ones.
Parents' bedroom -
a real "tent for the chief of the tribe and his wife." This is a wooden structure with fabric stretched on the ceiling, illuminated by fluorescent lamps. There is textile wallpaper on the walls, laminate flooring. A large wardrobe is installed at the entrance. Nearby is a recreation area, highlighted with “reed” wallpaper: an armchair, a floor lamp on a wooden leg with a fabric lampshade. Opposite, right on the floor, is a large mirror.
Door in the nursery -
wardrobe with mezzanine. A plastic shelving unit with a curved body at the head of the bed separates the sleeping area from the entrance area. There is a semi-colored carpet with stripes that echo the wallpaper with vertical lines that visually expand the narrow room. The girl's room is made in bright warm colors. Its decoration is a panel on the wall: three flowers of different shades of orange on a white background. The upper wavy part of the rack is made of bent plywood and lined with plastic.
